James Neaton

Jim Neaton is Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Minnesota, and has served as the Director of Statistical Coordinating Centers for several major NIH-sponsored trials, primarily in cardiovascular disease and HIV/AIDS. Jim is currently the Principal Investigator of an international network (INSIGHT) with over 300 sites in more than 30 countries that is conducting and planning HIV treatment trials. He is President of the Society for Clinical Trials (2006-2007) and has served on numerous panels and review groups for NIH, the FDA, and US Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Jim has served on the Data and Safety Monitoring Boards for clinical trials sponsored by NIH, the CDC, the US Veterans Administration, and the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. He has published more than 150 papers and serves as a founding Board member of AACT.
