Diederick E. (Rick) Grobbee Rick Grobbee is Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at Utrecht University, Director of the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care, and co-Director of the Image Sciences Institute at the University Medical Center, Utrecht. He is a board member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences, a board member of the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences, and Program Director of Clinical Epidemiology. Rick has been a principal investigator in many large-scale epidemiologic studies and randomized trials of interventions for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. He has published more than 680 scientific papers, chapters and books and has been on the editorial boards of several international medical journals and national and international scientific committees. He has worked collaboratively with many major pharmaceutical companies worldwide including Pfizer, Merck, Glaxo-Smith-Kline, Organon, Novartis and Servier. Rick serves as a founding Board member of AACT.
